Lawyer's Birthday Surprise - Teiwaz - Thursday 21-May-2015

Venue: Lawyer's office, North Quay.
Time: 0800-1000
Mission: Birthday surprise for a Star Wars fan.

Details: Surprises are always a little unpredictable. As big a fan as he was, the birthday boy was more than a little shocked! Of course the mood quickly changed and we were soon chatting about all things Star Wars and took many photos. They took us out for breakfast, which got many funny looks out in public.
It was my first troop, and I was grateful for the chance to try the costume out in public before Dreamworld. Thanks to Bullant for turning up with his DZ. I've never seen a Tusken Raider up close before and they sure are an impressive costume. Thanks to Stormraven for trooping in his ID so we didn't trip over anything. Much appreciated guys.
Charity Funds Raised: $300 for Smart Pups
Injuries / Malfunctions: None.
Public Incidents: Lots of funny looks. We were unarmed in public of course, so close to the courts precinct, but I guess we're not something people see every day. There was a moment when a startled detective briefly reached for his weapon.
Mission Status: Complete success.

Was great to get out trooping again. The PA who organised the surprise has held all the photos to ransom and is asking for "donations" to release them to the people in the photos, so hopefully that will raise some more funds for SmartPups
