Rogue One Release- Hervey Bay Big Screen Cinemas - BigDub - Thursday 15-Dec-2016 Date: 14th December 2016 Venue: Hervey Bay Big Screen Cinemas Time: 18:30 to 23:45 Mission: Code: To attend the midnight launch of the new Star Wars Rogue One Movie at the local Big Screen Cinemas & Raise much needed funds for our local Animal Refuge Shelter Baytrooper TD 22422 Firestorm TI 91397 Dark Father SL 37781 BigDub TI 10600 Support Crew / Guest Trooper Attendance: DarthBromy23 BamBam Details: Imperial communications started to emerge through our Holonet from the Emperor that indicated an imminent Rebel assembly at the Big Screen Cinemas site. Without any hesitation on strict command from the Emperor, Lord Vader launched shuttle 321 with a lone TIE pilot as his wing man on route to the cinemas. They landed the shuttle and TIE fighter in the carpark and both emerged to take up an early post at the cinemas bay doors entrance. Lord Vader stood there menacingly scanning for Rebel disturbances with his sabre in hand wanting to send a strong message to the Rebels, as they where rumored to be in thick numbers in the immediate area. He had his lone TIE pilot accompany him at the post. The weary TIE pilot had recently jammed his toes severely in his TIE Fighter hatch so was happy to take up a stationary post. The ominous looking duo where soon accompanied by more imperials with the arrival of another TIE, a lone veteran Sandtrooper & two imperial support crew members to assist with the security detail. The four imperials performed systematic sweeps of the area but found only one rebel in the area that was revealed to be an infant Wookiee and immediately surrendered, smiled and requested a group photo. Given the 4 troopers where within close proximity to the Cinemas Candy Bar all evening and had popcorn fumes filtering through their helmets, they opted to rest their legs and kick off their boots momentarily with some questionable sugary & savoury snacks that the TIE pilot presented that he had stowed in his TIE Fighter, possibly to close to the ION engines. One of the support crew held back precious water rations from the thirsty Sandtrooper only to admit this later in the evening when cross examined by the astute Candy Bar staff. Had there been no outcome Vader would have been forced to use the interrogation droid to keep his trooper hydrated. With the cinema site secured and every entrance and exit under Imperial control the 4 troopers shifted their focus to crowd control and entertainment as the line for the upcoming movie had now reached the exits of the theatre and was approaching the car park. With the movie scheduling fast approaching and the troopers and support crew approaching the 4 hour shift mark the cinema owners came out for some photos and to show their appreciation and the decision was made to dispatch the imperials back to their outposts. #Special mention must be made to Razorback TI 91397 for being the multitasking, always smiling, photographer/ trooper/ wrangler. #Special mention to Razorback SL 37781 for being first in kit and enduring 4+ hour round trip drive with a 4am arrival home. # Special Mentions to the two fresh support crew members DarthBromy23 & BamBam who kept the troopers safe at all times at every point in the night, organized a ton of photos and enthusiastically took to the important task of raising much needed funds for our local animal shelter. Well done boys. A very special, albeit general shout out to red & white blinking LED's is also needed to complete this report. Charity Funds Raised: $185.30 Injuries / Malfunctions: The TIE chest-bumped the Sandy for no apparent reason and swapped some paint, SL 37781 drive home ended up with some shuttle damage caused form a rebel KANGAROO. Public Incidents: None. Mission Status: Successful mission. Location secured from Rebel forces for the foreseeable future Photos: RE: Rogue One Release- Hervey Bay Big Screen Cinemas - Wolf - Thursday 15-Dec-2016 looks like a fun event and like the pics and great report and great choice of local refuge they need all help they can get . cheers Wolf RE: Rogue One Release- Hervey Bay Big Screen Cinemas - SupaTrooper - Thursday 15-Dec-2016 Great movie and great pics of the night troopers.
