Castle Hill Photoshoot report - muppet - Tuesday 7-Feb-2012

Venue: On top of Castle Hill
Time:18:30- 19:30
Mission:Take advantage of the full moon and fabulous views for some panaramic photos
Trooper Attendance: Vep,Nqdude & muppet

Detail: The ascend to the top of this pink granite monolith, nearly 300meters above sea level is a very hazardess journey. As we were in civies and piloting a hire craft, we had to avoid any contact with the thousands of walkers and joggers that tackle this natural feature which dominates the skyline of the city of Townsville, in the name of fitness. Judging by the height of the sun, there was only about 20 minutes of sunlight left, when our photographer, Kevin arrived. A quick change into armour,that even Clarke Kent would be proud off, and we set off to scope out best locations for photos.
Locals stared in awe and had to record their encounter with the Emperor's finest, just because they wouldnt think that they (us) would bother to visit this outer rim territory.
The sun had dissappeared beyond the horrizon, and out came the local mosquitoes. The 2 wrangles were nearly carted away by them, so they retreated to the safety of the vehicle, while Kevin and the troopers soldiered on.
After a few night shots of the city skyline, troopers also "returned" to their assigned vehicles and descended the hill.
Injuries: none, which was quite an accomplishment with the number of stairs and climbing undertaken.
Malfunctions: 1 hand plate might have come off, whilst in the process of throwing a few stones in the direction of 1 scout.
