Tba School Formal - Trinity - Monday 26-Nov-2012

Date: 23rd November 2012

Venue: Highfields Cultural Centre

Time: 1700 to 1800hrs

Mission: To escort 3 Star Wars fans to their school formal

Trooper Attendance: Agent Smith, Neo and Trinity

Guest Trooper Attendance: None

Support Crew: None

Detail: Trinity was approached some time ago to see if some troopers could escort a friend's son to the school formal as he didn't have a date of the female kind. Three friends had hired a limo to take them to the formal and the troopers were to provide a walking escort of the motorcade. Agent Smith, Neo and Trinity scouted out the area and convinced the manager of the neighbouring sporting facility to give them a room to get changed in (the male bathroom...Trinity only caused one episode of embarrassment to a man as he entered the bathroom to find a half dressed biker scout!) A quick fix of Neo's neckseal with a borrowed stapler, and they were ready for action. The troopers hung out in the basketball arena while they waited for the signal that the limo had arrived and then proceeded to search all of the cars until their assigned VIP's could be located. Most of the other students and drivers wanted a photo with the troopers, but the mission had to go on.

Then, the limo was escorted up the long driveway, Trinity out in front to gee up the crowd, with Agent Smith and Neo protecting the limo while Star Wars music blared out of the limo. The crowd went wild, and the troopers had difficulty holding back the awaiting pap photographers as the 3 VIP's were delivered safely onto the red carpet to join the rest of the students into the formal.

After the VIP's were escorted up the entrance stairs to the event, the surging crowd swelled around the troopers with many polite requests for photos. Many of these requests were from teachers of the school, who announced that this was the coolest entrance that they had ever seen in the history of school formals. The troopers then made a final wave to the VIP's and made a dash back to the safety of the male bathroom.

Charity Funds Raised: A donation to the Starlight Foundation

Injuries: None

Malfunctions: Neo's neckseal wouldn't do up but the loan of a stapler fixed that!

Public Incidents: A small stampede for the crowd to get their photo taken with the troopers

Mission Status: A great success
