Troop Report: Rockhampton Model Show - Angelman - Sunday 10-Feb-2013 Troop Report: Rockhampton Model Show Date: Saturday 9th February 2013 Venue: Criterion Hotel Time: 10am to 12pm Mission: Attend the annual Rockhampton Model Show and enforce the Imperial presence in the Rockhampton system. Trooper Attendance: Angelman, JOker, LadyTarkin, Keld (* first time out in his Tusken) Guest Trooper Attendance: Support Crew: Ainsleigh, Dawson, Kurumi, Sithershaw, Stormybrite Charity Funds Raised: NA Injuries: None, not even a single armour bite. Malfunctions: None reported. Public Incidents: None Mission Status: Successful, including additional mission. Detail: Main Mission: We were investigating the rumours of an imperial citizen who's dedication to the Empire was such, that he was building edifices to honour it. An Imperial Officer, LadyTarkin and her two trusty TK Stormtroopers, Angelman and JOker were deployed to investigate. After securing our Imperial transports we were welcomed in the Heritage listed Criterion Hotel, a palatial building with lots of history. As we are also from a long, long time ago ....... we enjoyed exploring its many features and stopped for many holo image opportunities (unlike the holiday images from Tatooine we've only posting a small selection of the images). We located one of the fine pieces that our mystery citizen had created, it was then that we noticed a Tusken Raider also taking an interest in this gentleman's fine work. Undoubtedly the Tusken was waiting for an opportunity to scavenge or possibly take the citizen hostage to ransom back at a later time. Our suspicions were proven to be incorrect and the Tusken was a known Imperial sympathizer Keld, who also had models entered in the competition. Angelman and JOker were suspicious that it could be a trap, but the device didn't seem Mon Calamari in design. With the demise of the Death Star, troopers are always looking for the next opportunity, Angelman and JOker thought they would try there hand at opening a bar. Things didn't quite go to plan .... The situation was quickly resolved trooper Angelman and JOker pulled up a seat and made a wager on the Jawa versus Tusken volleyball game that was being televised. Their wager did not go well. Secondary Mission: Trooper JOker noticed what he thought was a group of X-Wing pilots gathering at the banks of the Fitzroy River, just across the road from the venue we were investigating. JOker reported this information to Officer LadyTarkin, who authorised the secondary mission to investigate this potential threat. As luck would have it, there was no need for a fire fight as the X-Wing pilots turned out to be SES and volunteers from the "mud army" helping fellow Rockhampton Imperial citizens clean up after the devastating floods. We proudly stopped to take several holo images with them. Also, big thanks to Stormybrite and Ainsleigh for looking after the props and brochures on table and talking to the kids about the Galactic Academy.
