We headed off to the wards, ably lead by two Wonder Factory volunteers, one wearing a fairy dress and wings. We started in the oncology wards which is always tough, but once again we found quite a few kids who were very happy to have a visit from a stormtrooper and "Darth Vader". It always blows my mind that kids that have gone through so much can still find a smile on their faces.

There were a few instances of younglings being overwhelmed with our awesomeness, in which case the fairy lady jumped in to save the day Smile

We visited 7 wards in total, including a couple of waiting/play rooms full of siblings getting a bit of time out from the wards.

When we were finished visiting the wards we headed back to the Wonder Factory where Bullant engaged a youngling in a game of foosball ... and was soundly thrashed.

stormraven thought he would try out a bit of costume swapping!

Then it was time for a couple of group shots and then we de-armoured and headed home.

We missed you mate Sad

You will be proud of me though, a mum walked into the rest room with a couple of kids and she had a lego box set sticking out of the top of her backpack. I tried to "retrieve" it in true Jawa fashion, but I wasn't light fingered enough.
