Details: This was the Grand reveal of Calyns newly renovated family home. Larger, in fact doubled in size this once small low set home is now wheelchair accessble and big enough for all of Calyns medical equipment. A peak over the neighbours fence showed a kick ass new tree house, again large enough for Calyn and his siblings to play in. This was a community event organised by Channel 7 who have been following Calyns incredible recovery since the terrible accident. The Broncos were in attendance along with celebrity's from a renovation TV show. Troopers were honoured to meet Victoria Cross recipient Corporal Ben Roberts-Smith. The show will be aired on a Sunday night hosted by Mike Willesee on channel 7. I will provide a date when I have one. It was disappointing we did not get to interact with Calyn this time due to the interview and filming of the TV show. However it was a moving moment to see Calyn and his siblings arrive to thunderous applause and an overhead Australian Army chopper. We were told if we stayed on, we could see Calyn during the street party, but because of after dark safety concerns we decided to sign off and de armour before Sunset. Thank you to all Trooper and Redback Wranglers for helping make this day very special.
