1st SupaNova Cosplay, 2010

Venue: RNA Showgrounds

Time: 0800 – 1230

Mission: To maintain Imperial Security and Loyalty among the citizens of Supanova at there new Cosplay event.

Detail:
In the early hours of the morning TK Hoppy went through his checklist to ensure all weapons were in check and armour was ready. Then piloted his shadow fighter/shuttle on the way to the RNA docking station. First stop along the way was in the Taringa system to pickup trooper, and Support Crewman for the day, Deltorn. Second stop was made in Milton system at the local fly-through Macdonalds to acquire some food supplies to get through the day. Arriving bright eyed and early at RNA Docking Station Troopers Deltorn and Hoppy sat in the hanger bay observing the local citizens for any signs of insurrection.

They were soon joined by Imperial Crewman Sniper having just arrived in the hanger bay himself. TK Hoppy and IC Sniper then begun to armour/suit up. After suiting up the three were then meet by the Dark Lord Major Payne. However it still was not time to enter the Supanova Facility.


0940hrs The troopers made there way to blend in the line up for the entrance. 1000hrs TK Hoppy and Dark Lord Payne entered the Building immediately having already obtained there security passes, however Deltorn and Sniper had to hang back for a few minutes to await entry only to be stopped by the door security (see incidents). With the need for imperial security explained (or more to an exchange of extra credits) the two were eventually granted entrance and allowed to join there companions.


After a quick photo, or 2 or 3 or 4..., this awesome foursome made there way deep into the facility to patrol the venues. A rare pelts dealer was discovered and upon inspecting his stock, it was determined that his hunting license was genuine.



Continue on the troopers were stopped by the many loyalist asking for photos with the 3 in uniform (it has also been determined that once again the females of this event love a trooper uniform). Eventually another store warranting Imperial inspection came to our attention, a local arms dealer. However during this inspection it was found that whilst convincing in look and sounds the weapons were in fact toys.



Also came across a suspicious looking droid however it was not the one we were looking for.



After more photos Stormtrooper Hoppy noticed an acquaintance of his moving among the crowds and stopped for a quick hello and chat.



Soon it was time for a break and the four troopers headed back to the hanger bay to cool off and acquired some refreshing beverages from a nearby cantina.


After the break it was back to the facilities for one last patrol, where we meet by a familiar face but in different armour.



Continue on with the final patrol many more photos were taken and many more citizens made happy knowing that the empire still cares about them and the security of the Cosplaying events. as the time approached 1230 the 4 troopers decided it was time to depart and head for the CBD system to the Treasury Casino's Cantina 21, to help celebrate the birthday of fellow trooper Moxxxie. As Dark Lord Payne could not make this event Deltorn, Sniper and Hoppy wished him well in his return home. Then it was off to the Queen Street Docking station for the now 3 troopers.


Injuries:

None - not even a single armour bight.

Malfunctions:
Hoppy's Right upper Leg webbing came loose and forgot left hand plate after break for a few minutes

Public Incidents:
Imperial Crewman Sniper and Support Crewman Deltorn had some problems with being issued there Security passes due too a lack in the records showing there exchange of credits. Issue is still to be resolved.
Later after landing at the Queen Street mall docking bay troopers Sniper, Deltorn and Hoppy made there way to the treasury casino to meet up with fellow troopers and were almost run over by a Rebel transport. The Rebel pilot was quickly dealt with by imperial loyalist citizens mouthing a few words and also from Hoppy.

Great Success. Long live the Empire.

Might have to wait till next SupaNova there tourist. Cause I beleive i saw these same people there earlier this year. I'll be putting a little cash aside for those 9mm I was holding and maybe more for the assault rifles. if I remember it was $15 per 9mm and from what I can see it is $30 for what looks to be an MP5 so there is an idea of the prices.
