BEGIN EXPANDED REPORT:

TK-4875 reporting in…

To: Lord Vader
Fr: TK-4875, Redback Garrison, 501st Legion.
Re: Stanthorpe System Bounty Hunt.

My Lord,

News of the Stanthorpe System Bounty Hunt began when Stormtrooper Commander Cobra returned from a personal briefing with you, my Lord Vader, aboard your flagship. Whenever one of our number is called upon the Executor, we know to prepare ourselves for the most dangerous and important of missions.

Commander Cobra returned, calling an assembly of hand-picked Redback Garrison members. Cobra clutched at his throat, informing us that you didnâ€t agree with his assessment that the mission could be handled by Redback Stormtroopers alone and not need the presence of a Bounty Hunter. Your ability to tap into the Force, Lord Vader, has always mystified us and we will always show due respect for any decision you make. One thing I am sure a man of your position understands about Commander Cobra, Lord Vader, is that he is one of the toughest and loyal Stormtroopers alive, he could take down a hundred Rebels and still be fighting – but perhaps in your wisdom that is why he still leads us today and you respect his boldness. Commander Cobra is a trooper that can organise us into any formation and lead us to victory.

The briefing was short. A group was to be a small strike force of Troopers joined by a Scout Trooper, an Officer, a Gunner, and a Tie Pilot, but would also be taking direction from a Bounty Hunter named Boushh that you had personally selected. The strike force would be given a single shuttle and land in the Imperial-occupied Stanthorpe system during their local Apple and Grape Festival. The objective of our mission was to track and either detain or disable 5 Rebel infiltrator droids programmed to disrupt the festival and in turn Imperial rule on the planet.

BOUNTY LIST:
  • 1 x Stanthorpe Robotic Apple Series Parade Droid (Red)
  • 1 x Stanthorpe Robotic Grape Series Parade Droid (Purple)
  • 1 x Cybot Galactica 3-PO Series Protocol Droid (Silver)
  • 1 x Industiral Automaton R2-series Astromech Droid (Yellow)
  • 1 x infantile Human Replica Droid (Unknown)

The strike forceâ€s Tie Pilot landed the shuttle on the outskirts of the Stanthorpe systemâ€s capital where the Apple and Grape festival would be taking place. We immediately disembarked and headed for a forested area filled with Imperial citizens.

No sooner had we been spotted, the ever-grateful Imperial Citizens wanted to capture holoimages with the Empire finest. If we know one way to catch a Rebel above any other, it is that walking among them can often produce the best results.

In our search for the droids, we would often uncover hidden lightsabers or find someone without appropriate permits for their own droids or speeders.

As we knew the most difficult of the 5 droids being hunted was an infant-sized Human Relica Droid, many Human youngling were detained to ascertain whether they were truly biological or were in fact the Human Replica Droid we were looking for. It was shocking that even under Imperial government, some of these younglings were rather brazen in their defiance of Imperial law. The seeds of rebellion could be stewing on Stanthorpe.

On numerous occasions, we were able to commandeer the local paramilitary to assist us in our investigations. Their familiarity with local laws, traditions, and locales, mixed with the skills of the Bounty Hunter, Boushh, led to an effective investigation.

From seemingly beyond the range of our scanners, two droids that fit the descriptions we were looking for, a walking Apple and Grape, were spotted and approached us. We posed with them for holographic evidence to bait them, but they used the surging crowds against us and escaped. Boushh managed to place a tracking device upon them - it wasn't over.

When the time of the all-important parade approached we took up escorting positions, joining more of the local para-military in keeping order. One of our Emperor's Royal Guards approached the parade, and suddenly we were preparing ourselves for the possibility of our Emperor.

Soon it became apparent as to why you, Lord Vader, had been so insistent on the mission being carried out to the letter as you instructed to our Commander. The Emperor Himself joined the Royal Guard and entered the parade to take up the lead position. His entrance was superb, and not one of us had known of his arrival. This was an honour to march beside our Emperor in the eyes of the Imperial citizens.

A citizen breached acceptable behaviour when he couldnâ€t get a holoimage of our Emperor and the strike force standing still. His cries of pro-rebel propaganda - such as destroying all all his Imperial records and not paying his Imperial taxes - were met with instant disintegration from the entire strike force and the local para-military forces.

The parade was about celebrating the local fruits of the apple and grape, but time and again it seemed that the Imperial citizenry would have rather celebrated the presence of the Empire's finest.

Our Emperor took the opportunity to soak up the adoration of Imperial citizens, both the current workers of the Empire and it's future generations.

It wasnâ€t long before another of the droids was located. Hiding on board one of the archaic wheeled transports, we discovered the protocol droid disguised as a ghastly harlequin. The Rebels had programmed this droid's main function to co-opt Imperial Citizens love of the Imperial icon instead for a weaker golden arch and then on to their own Old Republic-esque logo. The droid would not comply with our Imperial mandate, and kept repeating nonsense about our strike team being, "like it's in 3D!" This droid had to be disintegrated.

After the parade, the we escorted the Emperor back to his private shuttle and moved immediately onto finding the remaining droids. The next phase of the hunt involved shaking up the local vendors.

No item was safe from our scrutiny. If it looked like it could be a droid, or hide a droid, we checked it.

One of the droids on the Wanted List was a modified Industiral Automaton R2-series Astromech Droid. The only intelligence we had on this droid was that it was heavily modified to blend into the festival. But sure enough, we found it hiding among other droids disguised as a confectionery maker producing nebulous cloud candy. The clear dome wasn't enough to hide the identity of the droid. It was was easily arrested and detained as the vender had it in place with a restraining bolt.

Boush picked up the tracking signal of the Apple and Grape droids in a nearby building. This structure was the key headquarters of the Stanthorpe Apple and Grape Festival, as all major decisions and actions took place from there. The droids were attempting to sabotage the energy couplings in the building to bring the entire festival to a halt. The strike team burst in, demanding surrender but the droids were equipped with illegal weapons modifications and a blaster battle ensued. Trooper Darkvoyd had found some ascension gear from a local vendor and scaled the outside of the building. The Trooper burst in from a high window, laying down a covering fire that gave the rest of the team the upperhand. The droids were damaged and disabled and the headquarters safe.

At the end of the battle there was a distinct lack of Boushh's presence. The Bounty Hunter had disappeared, but not betrayed us. A call came in over the comlink from Boushh that she had tracked the whereabouts of the Human Replica Droid. The chase was on. No sooner had we caught up to Boushh, we caught site of the youngling-droid running up the stairs of a massive slide to the top to escape Imperial capture. Commander Cobra dispatched three Stormtroopers to ascend the monstrous ride and capture the droid. As soon as the three neared the top, the infantile droid jumped down the slide to escape capture. There was nothing else for the three troopers to do but grab a friction-resistant bag, jump upon the slide, and give pursuit.

The youngling Human Replica Droid exited the slide amid a hail of blaster fire from the remainder of the the strike force, but Boushh caught the droid's momentum in an ion net and brought it down. A restraining bolt was affixed and the youngling Human Replica Droid offered no further resistance.

With all five Rebel droids captured, the Stanthorpe system put on a spectacular skyfire display for the Emperor's Finest. One of the skyfire burst was in honour of the Death Star's loss. The Stanthorpe system was thankful for the Imperial presence and defeat of the attempted Rebel sabotage.

The mission was a spectacular success. Lord Vader, your instincts were perfect. There isn't a Trooper among us who would not accept a mission to return to the Stanthorpe system.

Great report and a great troop guy's, sounds like you had a ball. Love the Beatles-Abbey Road album "Cover", but isn't it meant to be left to right, not right to left ?

Favorite quote "grabbed a friction-resistant bag", LMAO.

Well done on the $1,000.00 raised.

You all deserve a pat on the back.
