Birthday Party: Rockhampton

Detail:

After an initial reconnaissance of the area in variety of private transports revealed an enormous concentration of children at the park. A full frontal assault to reach the target child Nicholas was considered too risky (even by"Let's blow stuff up" Captain Rex). Scanning the surrounds Commander Cody detected a hidden railway underpass. Rex and Cody quickly armoured up on the far side of the underpass to remain undetected. Rex and Cody did their best to "blend in" with the locals as they navigated the tunnel. Apparently we need to work on our street credibility?



We emerged from the tunnel and took a direct path to area where intelligence reports had confirmed the location of our target. Many locals were very interested in our presence. Luckily we had many undercover operatives (wranglers) around us to run interference so our path to the target area was clear.

Confirmation of the target area: Birthday cake located and secured.




Apparently there seems to be a small cultural element that worship a small idol ,which bears a striking resemblance to our Captain Rex. This would explain young Nicholas's jaw dropping expression when he saw a full size Rex approaching.



Cody and Rex were distracted for a moment, something about the dark side and cookies and something, something, something .....



The cookies were safe the birthday cake however was not .....



Next there was a shout of "Man down, man down", it would appear the mini Rex's can't handle their cake.



A great troop, lots of smiles, Cody and Rex caused some confusion when they talked about their "pod day", which they did eventually realise is the equivalent of birthday to non-clones.
I have to give a huge round of thanks to our wranglers on the day There was a huge amount of kids and general public in that park, they did an absolutely fantastic job of keeping Cody and Rex safe.
Angelman and LadyTarkin had the birthday boy's family over later that day and dressed them ALL in Star Wars costumes, I think we may have some new Redbacks joining us soon
