Venue: Strathpine Community Hall
Time: 9-6pm
Mission: raise money for Starlight and be awesome amongst Lego fans.
Trooper Attendance: MammaSith ,cyclops, Oevil1, moxxxie, payney,R2D2, Glitch, Fullmetal,Spooky,Alrakis,nightowl, muppet, Ashbash ,Petros, Benji
Galactic Academy: Ethan, JJ and his sister and Petros ' son, Cre8tiv Boys Cody in Commander Cody and Cameron in Captain Rex
Guest Trooper Attendance:
Support Crew: Cre8tiv
Detail: Bump in was light but the Death Star Corridor was set with the help from Major Payne, Cyclops and Petros and myself. as for the rest of the weekend sorry but i was moving and never actaully made it to the event. Can someone from each day please report it or PM me and ill paste it here.
Sunday Report from Bullant:
What a day. Up at 5:30 to get to the venue at 7:30. I was wondering if I'd got the details wrong until stormraven arrived at 8:00. Got armoured up in my TK and ready for the influx of special needs kids. Spooky arrived in his jawa a bit after the kids started coming and was followed a bit later by a Jedi (sorry mate, I don't know your name ...).
The kids were fantastic, and so were the parents. It was a real pleasure to see so many happy faces, and to get so many hugs
Unfortunately fatigue started to kick in after lunch and my kids had had enough after their stint as GA Jawas so we left the stand in the capable hands of the remaining troopers.
Scored an official photo with the Tracy Davis, QLD Minister for Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services. She seemed quite please with the work we do and spent quite some time talking to stormraven about us.
Also got in a photo for the "local paper". Hopefully we can get a copy of both of the photos.
Charity Funds Raised: $1532.70 was raised over the weekend for Starlight Children's Foundation Australia.
