Details:
Dz 2471 arrives scopes out the location and braces for the other shuttles and personal crafts to arrive in the Hervey Bay system .

At 10 am we all heard and felt the ground tremble with what was a tuskan raiding party arriving but ended up beening over 95 different forms of motorbikes and classic cars to hot rod
We escorted the young Warlord to the highest point and kept watch as he gave his speech to local populace and even the local mc was in shock and awe of the imperial forces and lone Jedi under Scott's command .

After many holo pictures were taken and a walk around the grounds an mixing with the general populace and looking at local traders stores we found a nice shady spot to stand and let the populace go about there normal daily events .

Bobba fett noticed the beach near by and proceeded to go inspect it on Lords Vaders nod of approval . And proceeded to take a small fishing break , from the botham spy network we heard he didn't catch anything but there was some new unexplained holes and marks where there wasn't there a day before ?

And the local Jedi was spotted doing the ancient craft of force fishing where they don't even cast a line or a hook but hold the rod and "use the force" to catch fish .

As the day progressed it got hotter then a kyrat dragons breath. And we all loaded up into our personal shuttles and transports and went to a well deserved rest and late breakfast and lunch at a local eatery owned and run by the famous Mr Hog of the hogs breath syndicate .

Charity Funds Raised:
over $5000 for Sunday still waiting on a exact amount

Injuries / Malfunctions:
Some mild cases of sunburnt to Anna with touch of heat stroke and Erin has a little red nose from the sun at event according to the botham information network , no other cases known as of yet .... .

Public Incidents:
none that was made aware to us.

Mission Status:
a grand success and total body and soul moving experience .

Photos:

Memorable Moments :
the great effort from up north to bring the forgotten Vader helmet and a big thank you to Andy (pants) and Dan (Jackknife)

The random citizen whom joined in the toast at the dinner on Saturday night , so have to find out who he was as he deserves a beer for that photobomb .

Also if any one dines at hogs breath please give Buttons , Raw Ginger a hallo and a smile and also don't forgot to ask kung fu panda how's his Kung fu is going . And if you order the porfitia rolls desert make sure Buttons fix' it up for you as Cobra can tell you she knows her dessert menu .

Scotty is such a great kid, I was very impressed with the speech he gave, truly wise beyond his years that one.

When he stooped to thank us as he was heading home, he looked at Boba and said "I can't believe that you all came to my town" that's the moment that will stick with me from this troop, it really brings home just how special the experience that we bring to these kids with our costumes is.

The beach photo shoot was another highlight, the looks on the locals as we wandered around, and especially when Boba and the Stormy broke out the fishing gear was priceless.

Huge thanks to Pants and Jacknife for getting Vader's bucket down to us, you guys truly went above and beyond with that late night mercy dash

Bring on Bay-Con 2014!

Great report Wolf.
Big thankyou to yourself and Baytrooper for organising the troop and great hospitality.
What an inspirational young man Scott is, wise beyond his years.
Glad to have been there to support the event.

Didn't think Vader would make an appearance after the frantic phone call Saturday evening. Big thankyou to those that organised its transport after being forgotten in Rocky.

The location was beautiful, will need to pack beach games/cricket/buckets for next years BayCon Wink

Definitely a trooping highlight of the year. Scotty is a great kid and so deserved this troop and I'm still amazed by the generosity of all the troopers, (especially Wolf and Baytrooper who bought Scott gifts with their own funds).

Everyone that travelled and were in such good spirits, the wonderful wranglers... When events are so changeable and a lot is play it by ear, everyone just takes it in their stride.

The beach photo shoot was gold. I'm still smiling about it.

Can't wait for Baycon next year, such a great location and then it will be time for the residents of Hervey Bay to get another Star Wars fix! And I'll new to hone my Force Fishing skills further :-).

Well done everyone!!!

Excellent report Wolf Doppeldaumen1 To all of you CHAMPIONS who made the trip to the Bay, A MASSIVE Thank you. I haven't the words to fully describe how happy and grateful, both myself and Wolf are that you all came to this event for Scott. This includes all support crew, because without you there, it wouldn't have been the same. I thank you very much for being there. It was a perfect example for cadet Erin (who must be thanked for taking all those photo's) to see the sensational efforts of this truly AWESOME Garrison. To the people involved in getting Vader's lid to the event, Dead Set Legends Notworthy Not only did you save the day, but you made a lot of people happy on the day, so you were totally there in spirit. Another example of the Luv in this group Smile So many memorable parts of this troop, great, great people, fun photo's and lotsa laughs and smiles. Most importantly, Scott loved us being there. Hearing him talk Star Wars to us and thank us numerous times was a huge highlight.

( Oh, and after I left lunch, I went home, got the frame, and put the signed pic in it and took it back to the event. Thanks Rach for bringing the print down )

Lastly .....
I think it is time we demonstrated the full power of this region. Set your course for Baycon.....

Thanks to Wolf and Baytrooper for hosting this one! Thanks also to LadyTarkin and RebelRach for keeping a second and third eye on my little Jawa, who was exhausted, by the way. Elise slept most of the way back to Bundaberg (which is unusual for her) but woke up as we pulled into the driveway telling anyone who would listen, that she is "...definitely joining the Galactic Academy!"

She has empathy in bucket loads already ...and is quite charitable, however, after yesterday's troop, she really feels like she has done something very good. What an appropriate time of the year to have that sort of feeling.

Thanks Redbacks!!!

Great to be involved in this event. Seeing the enthusiasm that Scott had for Star Wars and the appreciation for everyone's efforts was definitely a highlight. It was definitely the inspiration I needed to get stuck back into my armour. The de-brief at Hogs was a fantastic way to finish the day. My target for my armour is to be present and approved for Dreamworld 2014. Thanks 501st.
