[b]Details:The day was a large event with many friends, family and supporters attending. Media were in attendance such as the local paper and Mike Willesee conducting interviews with the family. Jumping castle and Animal Farm were also attractions.
Dino arrived on his motor bike in his armour which delighted the crowd. The attending police at the event however served him with a dummy speeding ticket. Dino gave them cheek which lead to him being searched against the cop car.
Calyn arrived somewhere around 1:30. As he came up the ramp the troopers were lined up and the smile on his face when he saw us was priceless.
The troopers got some awesome photos with the police car and Alkaris captured the day perfectly with great photos.
Lord Mini Vader was a hit amongst the other children.

Injuries / Malfunctions: Goat tried to eat Baby tuskan Sandy, Rubber broke his gun

Public Incidents:

Mission Status: successful - Here are some links and a passage from his facebook page if you are interested in Calyns story:

"On August 31st ~ the day before fathers day ~ our lifes where shattered!!
My 7yr old Nephew Calyn saved the life of his 4yr old brother by pushing him out of the way of an oncoming 4wd but was not lucky enough to make it safely out of the way himself. Calyn was hit on the frontal lobe of his forehead at 60km/hr. by a bullbar, his life seriously in danger he was induced into a coma and rushed to the RBCH undergoing emergency surgery to remove part of his skull to allow his brain to swell and minimising the risk of him becoming brain dead. With a shattered and completely fractured skull, severe bruising of his brain and a broken clavicle our little hero fought a hard battle for 15days in ICU, his parents faced losing their little boy numerous times, our family and friends praying night and day holding onto hope that he would survive and stay with us. Though all the odds were against him somehow he survived and is now going through the long hard recovery process unable to talk or walk and with minimal communication to everyone around him Calyn is still fighting with all he has to come back to us.
Calyn is now temporarily staying with his family at his grandparents house until the extensive renovations and extensions to the little 3 bedroom house his family call home are started and completed, he will also required specific medical equipment and furniture to support his condition. A new specialised car that can be modified for a wheelchair to fit in is needed to transport him. With one income and 2 other small children to care for my brother and sister in-law are struggling to find a way to get done what is needed for Calyn to go back to his home.
We are asking you our community if you can help our little 'IRONMAN' to come home to his family his home and his life. They are in need of building supplies, wood tiles, paint anything anyone can offer us, we need tradespeople, handyman or anyone that is willing to get their hands dirty and do a bit of labouring and that can take sometime out of their own busy lives to help build a new dream into an old house and people to help in fundraising to hopefully get a new family vehicle.
Its a massive job and a big requirement but hopefully we can get some people around us and make this happen for a beautiful, loving little 7yr old that was so heroic.
They live in Beenleigh, Brisbane so if you know of anyone that is willing to lend a hand etc close or around this area, we will be so grateful and will appreciate anything that is offered to us."

Also the organisers were wonderful and presented a certificate of appreciation to the Redback Garrison. I will take a photo and upload before handing it over to Kev.

Great stuff you guys, and at such short notice too.
The Facebook page received more 'likes' and comments on the pics from this troop than any other to date! And lots of grateful messages from those that attended the event.
Well done troopers!

Ahhh did anyone get a image of that pesky ewok?

Fantastic that the community pulls together for these worthy events. The family was great and Calyn is a real little trooper.

Great troop (as I do not get out that often at the moment) to catch up with the gang. Hope they have more requests at the PCYC down the road from home.

Guess that TB is fit to stay on during a rollercoaster in the future.

The 2 Police Officers who attended were great fun. They got into the spirit of things.
We were all very popular until someone's daughter turn up as an Ewok and chased her Biker Scout father around with a spear. Smile
