Date: Saturday 26th July 2014
Venue: Hoyts Regent Theatre, Brisbane
Time: 7pm
Mission: To help out with the filming of a short film for a kickstarter project.
Trooper Attendance:
RBG:
ID3989, Buzzard - Officer
CT6597, Mortogg - Clone Trooper
TKC4875, Phoenix - Stormtrooper Commander
RL:
RebelRach - Jedi
Details: Everybody arrived at the theatre early and watched while the crew set up their equipment for the shoot. Some discussion was had about tying up the crew and commandeering the camera/lights/sound gear for the vodcast but for the sake of the troop we decided against it. Once everything was set, we took up positions as directed and soon had our moves worked out for the camera. (This job is really easy - I don't know what all those professional actors complain about :P ) Once the director was happy we began a few practice run-throughs while Adam Harris got comfortable speaking his lines. Soon we were doing proper takes and while we had some shaky starts, by the end of the night we completed a successful shoot.
Charity Funds Raised: N/A
Injuries / Malfunctions: N/A
Public Incidents: Had the occasional hecklers at the door.
Mission Status: Success.
Photos:
Getting ready to shoot.
Forget the crazy actors, it's the lunatic extras you have to watch out for.
Why's he getting make up? He's gonna be wearing a bucket, for crying out loud!
Cast and crew and the end of the night.
Some video for your viewing pleasure.

Science! Because figuring things out is better than making stuff up.
