Good morning all,

My name is Scott and I am a huge Star Wars fan (Like all of us here)
and I have recently seen some of the work the 501st has done in the United States and Australia and would like to do my part for the Imperial cause.

The first thing I need to decide is what to make first, I am in the Navy so I was thinking Imperial Bridge crew or Officer to start of with something a little less daunting then a Storm Trooper.

Cheers and Beers

Hi Scott
you know you want to be a Stormtrooper, so be s Stormtrooper.
Yes it does all seem daunting at first, but I got ta tell ya, it was an awesome experience assembling my armour.
There are loads of resources and plenty of great people to help you along the way.
First off, check out the link below for costume reference library.

then head on over to the FISD, link below, everything you could possibly need to know about Stormy armour, build threads, how to guides, and where to buy armour kits from.

Hi Scott, welcome

Your profile says you're in Sydney?

If so you'll want to check out the Southern Cross Garrison, the 501st down in NSW.

An officer costume is a great place to start, there are lots of variations, even one called "Imperial Navy Trooper". They can be a bit more affordable too and some (like Reserve Crewmen) can be the base for other costumes (like Tie Fighter Pilots).

Here's the link to the list of officer costumes for the Imperial Officer Corps: http://www.501st.com/databank/Costuming:IOC_CRL

Good luck!
