Troop Report: Rockhampton Light the Night - Angelman - Thursday 11-Oct-2012 Date: 10th October 2012 Venue: Alf Kele Park, Rockhampton Time: 5:00pm to 8:00pm Mission: To support the Leukaemia Foundation with their Light the Night event. Trooper Attendance: Angelman, JOKer, Kitteh, Nerf * Note: This was Kitteh's first official troop Guest Trooper Attendance: Sithershaw Support Crew: Barcy, Darkcyde, Echo, LadyTarkin Charity Funds Raised: NA Injuries: None (reported) Malfunctions: JOKer's bucket took a dive when he was gearing up , Kitteh knocked/dropped her iPhone Public Incidents: None Mission Status: Success Details: It was as hot as Tatooine in the Rockhampton System as the troops prepared, although this system claims to only have one sun Kitteh had the right idea and stationed herself inside her transport's airconditioned cabin until the very last moment. With the sun finally disappearing behind the trees, the troops quickly armoured up, the was a rush of younglings as we approached the event area. The young citizens of the Rockhampton System were very keen to get holo-images with us. Having not thought about securing the correct paperwork we are unable to publicly transmit that image (also to protect the identity of younglings that may be recruited for later missions ). Looking for the registration booth where lanterns were to be collected our intrepid Tie Fighter Pilot Nerf discovered Lante Ales, I not sure what sort of beverage that is, best we steer clear of that one (don't drink and fly kids). Apparently blood is very much need for Leukaemia treatment, Trooper JOKer suggested a method using his gun to obtain some very quickly - Donate or Else!!! Before we knew it it was time to walk. We completed the walk intact, keeping all the participants safe. We paid our respects to other fallen troopers at the park. *** Warning bucket off photo, look away if you are easily offended by troopers showing flesh *** At the end of the walk we had our blasters drawn and nearly opened fire on what we thought was a rebel pilot assembly area, fortunately (for them) a local civilian intervened and explained that these were the good men and women of the local SES who were also keeping the evening's event safe. We thank them for their assistance. We headed back to our transports, some of us indulged in the local cuisine (some sort of elongated meat product in a slab of floury substance, quiet nice actually and some sort of cabonated water). We de-armoured and returned to our lodgings in the Rockhampton System with another successful mission under our belts. Well done everyone, special big thanks to our wranglers RE: Troop Report: Rockhampton Light the Night - Oevil1 - Thursday 11-Oct-2012 What a successful mission!
