Date: 4/2/2012
Venue: Rockhampton Cinema / Stockland
Time: 3:00pm - 5:00pm
Mission: Promote the Cinema release of Phantom Menace 3D and raise money of Queensland Cancer Council.
Trooper Attendance: Angelman, Nerf
Guest Trooper Attendance: LadyTarkin, 2 mini Clone Troopers and big thanks to Stef and Neil for wrangling.
Details:
The troops arrived in civilian clothing at the Rockhampton Cinemas and instructed to proceed to secret chambers located on the second level of the complex. We quickly changed into our Imperial uniforms and proceeded out on the the second level balcony of the cinema complex above the foyer. There was excited murmurings and pointing as we scanned the imperial citizens below, we encountered several patrons on the second level but none seem to have any knowledge of the droids we were looking for. We entered the lift and pursued our inquiries further with the growing crowd in the foyer. Many image devices were utilised many younglings were very keen and happy with our presence.
After what seemed like a short period the crowds diminished as they entered their movies. We proceeded (with authorisation) into the Stockland shopping complex, the citizenry were very pleased with our attendance, many inquiring as to why we were there. Apparently there are no droids in Rockhampton. We proceeded around the complex with relative ease, this trooper even stopped for an ice coffee.
The citizens were particularly interested in our mini clones.
We then reported back to the cinema for more digi-photos with the fine citizens, then departed for the secret room on the second level.
We re-assumed our civilian disguises and left the cinema.
Incidents: None
Malfunctions: Left the younglings black gloves packed with the Jawa costumes in the car.
Funds Raised: $149
Yes $149 exactly.
