Troop Report
Date: 19th.11th.2010

Venue: Toowoomba City Golf Club

Time: 5pm-6pm

Mission: To escort and protect potential new recruit (huge star wars fan) to desired location to keep at bay mindless photographers and ahem...girls!

Trooper Attendance: 4. Neo, trinity and and Explosion Ed.

Guest Trooper Attendance: Agent of Chaos.

Support Crew: Sunday Mail photographer and our son Daniel.

Detail: After arriving early and watching people turn up, I estimate by the time we were ready there would have been over 500 people at the red carpet waiting with camera's and the like. Some public, but mostly teachers and students. Applauding and cheering anyone that walked up the red carpet.

After finding our change rooms, we met the photographer around the back of the club for our transport and to meet his son who had hired us (another $100 for Starlight too)! It was a van with blackened windows so no one new who was turning up. When the bulk of Corvette's harleys and other luxury vehicles had gone through, we made our way around the side andgot in line to join the parade. President escort style, the four of us were on each corner of the van and walked with it. While still some 50m away, you could here the rumblings of "OMG" and everyone turning to us. Unfortunately for the couple in front of us, we stole all there attention! Whoops! Thats when the star wars music started blaring from the car! He hadn't told us about that!! We did our best to ward of photo's being taken but the people went nuts! We escorted the vehicle to a halt, secured the area well before opening the door and releasing our VIP. Camera's went beserk and we may have failed in our mission to protect our "young stud"! He worked the crowd, while we tried to protect him up the long staircase and was very Hollywood(ish). We got to the top of the stairs (Tk's hate stairs) but Anita was fine in the TB (dammit) where we were swamped with more photo's and people generally coming over to check us out. It was at this stage that our VIP was left to join the rest of the group and we took over the area and people took photo's of us with their kids and parents alike.

I asked our VIP if he needed us any longer and he happily released us from our mission. We headed back and met the photographer who I think was more stoked than our VIP!

In short, we had a ball! Lots of fun and potential new recruits and missions in this area coming up in the future. Only took us 30 minutes, but well worth it. One of the more fun troops for us! Everyone loved us! Pfffttt....who can't love a TK!

Injuries: None.

Malfunctions: None but I realised my gun was missing so must have been mine left at Kevcon! I didn't need it though, to busy using my hands to push back crowds of young girls rushing our VIP!!! Wink

Public Incidents: Only shock and awe, but nothing serious!

Mission Status: A Success! Peace

Photos: Due to none of us having a camera, we are left to having to wait for our photographer friend to get back to me with images he said he would give me on a CD at some stage. But keep an eye on the papers! We're most likely in there! LOL!

Great work, Guys!

That would have been really fun.
Real democracy is not something that can be palmed off with a click of a mouse once a year, a crossed box and crossed fingers.

Democracy is for life, not just elections.
