Date: 24th July, 2016
Venue: George Wilmore Park, Ferny Hills
Time: 10 a.m.
Mission: The event is a fundraiser for a lovely little girl called Emily and her family. Details about Emily are below:
Emily was born at 24+4 weeks along with her twin sister Chloe, but had a very rocky start to life. In her first 8 months of life, she never left the NICU and underwent 8 surgeries in that time mostly relating to a bleed on her brain, severe meningitis and a severe bowel infection.
Trooper Attendance:
RBG:
20552 MyKill - TI:RP/IC (POC)
00000 Teiwaz - TB
00000 Dark Dora - DZ (Jawa)
00000 Diatium - TK
Rebel Legion:
Tobalation (Wrangling)
Support Crew / Guest Trooper Attendance:
RBG Cadet Wranglers:
Shazzam
Darth Temptress
Details:
The Troopers arrived bright and early with the promise that bacon rations would be issued at a nearby commissary upon completion of setting up the base of operations for the day - unfortunately a certain trooper left half the wanted poster frame and the flags home, so he had to madly dodge trees making a second supply run on his 74-Z speeder bike (he cleverly took the access codes to the shuttle - preventing Jawas from pilfering the warm clothes stored within)
Setup was completed with plenty of time to armour up and bring star wars joy to the citizens taking part in the 'walk-a-thon', bake sale, charity auction and various other fundraising efforts to raise much needed funds for Emily.
The total funds raised for the day are still being calculated (however preliminary reports have the bake sale table raising $2,000 alone), reports that troopers raised almost $100 in gold coin donations for photographs have been verified!
The props and change room were packed up before the auction commenced and most of the troopers lined up for delicious ice creams before heading home.
Charity Funds Directly Raised: $96.60
Total funds raised by event: $19,141.45
Injuries / Malfunctions:
Apart from a slight weapons malfunction (DLT-19's don't really need cocking handles, do they?), There was nothing to report.
Public Incidents:
Several younglings were visibly terrified of our imperial might (some visibly shaking), but most were eventually won over
Mission Status: SUCCESSFUL!
Photos:

The world-class crew
A parent was heard telling their child "Look (pointing), Darth Vader's got a bubble gun!"...
Which quickly became "LOOK OUT, Darth Vader's got a bubble gun!!!
Pizza and ice-cream were enjoyed by all!
The jawa decided to get in on the fun run, completed one lap, and decided that entitled her to the whole bowl of lollipops, imperial forces prevented the attempt...
Seeing the error of her ways, all was forgiven...
At least until she tried to make off with the raffle prizes
And what day isn't complete without a photo with Elsa, serenaded by a Jawa singing "let it go" in Jawanese.
