Details:
It has been a while since we were able to attend a GoldNova, but this one was a good one to come back to.  GoldNova was a complete sellout for booths, which meant we actually had to have our stand out on the foyer as the SupaNova guests filed on through, and file on through they did!  This was the busiest Nova I have seen in years.  It was standing room only inside and the entry line snaked around the convention centre for a couple of hundred metres.  Amazing.  Let's hope the next one is bigger and better.

Charity Funds Raised:
$814.95 - Rattler cans and Slice leftover
$  41.30 - QR Codes
$855.95 - Total

Possible $500 from Dreamworld.  Awaiting confirmation and troop Report

Not a bad total, but it was an interesting experiment with the QR codes.  Lots of people scanned, but they either didn't donate or the system wasn't that great to get them to donate.  Something to look into further in the future.

Also being in the foyer may or may not have been the best position for getting donations.  We will have to see next year of we are in the main room again.

Injuries / Malfunctions:
Nothing major to note.  Chewie killed Kaladan on the Saturday with his massive effort trooping in him.

Public Incidents:
Those Star trek nerds once again invaded our stand, but they did throw in some good coin for the privilege.

Mission Status:
A great success. It was great to see some of the old hands come out to troop. Phantom was even able to be here from PNG and attend, even though he was a bit sore and broken from a couple of operations.

A massive thanks to Casey.  She did a fantastic job doing all the organising and making sure that is event went off without a hitch.  It would not of happened without her.  Don't worry folks. I've already tripled her garrison pay.  Totally worth it.

The Toowoomba contingent was strong and fantastic on the stand.  Trooping long hours and bringing their great energy and attitude over both of the days.  It was great to see our resident Death troopers there as well troop some big hours and get called the Darth Vader twins several times.

Once again our mates from across the border came up to attend.  Tappa putting in massive hours in Vader.  We love having you guys up for a troop.

To Sticky and a bump in and out crews, thanks for getting it all set up and pulled down.  Without the backdrops we would not have a place to stand and be awesome.  Payney was great with R2 and the triplets that we haven't seen for a few years.  Hilarious.  Haydo looked the part as Mando.

Well we learnt a few things for going forward for the next Nova.  Let's keep up the great work and keep having fun.

On and operational note:

We need to get a bit better at making sure we have people on the stand for the majority of the day.  A few people just stood off to the side and really didn't do that much.  Standing by the stand does not equal actually trooping.  Get in there.  Take photos for guests.  Get in your armour.  Troop.  You only need to do it for an hour each.  Or do two hours trooping.  Not everyone has to be on the stand at the beginning of the day as well.

Also in the change room space will always be an issue.  If you are bringing multiple costumes then only bring one up at a time.  Leave the others in your car.  Finish with a costume and then swap it out.  Also if you have finished for the day or even the weekend.  Take your costume out and put it in your car.  The change room is not big enough to be everyone's personal storage room.

I'm sure there have been plenty on Facebook haha.
