Toowoomba Christmas Wonderland 2025
Venue: Queen's Park Botanical Gardens, Toowoomba
Time: 6pm – 9pm
Mission:
To support a local community event and represent the 501st!
Trooper Attendance:
RBG: CC:33827 "Bolt", BH:22810 "Snips", TK:29566 "Oxy", CT:5092 "Glitch", SL:7253 "Zerebin", TI:39752 "Ktty", TI:20552 "Mykill", IN:28301 "Thumb"
Wrangler: TK:90579 "Scotty33"
Support Staff: Cadet "Squeechirps", Cadet "Bri_Cosplays_Sometimes"
Details:
1800: Troopers arrived, everyone was on time and we had a few minutes to prepare.
1830: Suit up. The clones were the slowest (sorry guys), took a group photo and made our way into the park.
1900: We found a new spot (with a convenient bench seat for Snips and Zerebin) and got set for a busy night.
1930: Things started to get busy for us, plenty of families lining up for pictues. Troopers struggled to see any of them however, as it was quite dark.
2000: Zerebin finished trooping. Ktty and Thumb rotated between trooping and wrangling. Scotty33, Squeechirps and Bri_Cosplays_Sometimes had their hands full dealing with the 4500 people coming through the park!
2100: Wrapping things up, we made our way out of the park, taking a few pictures on the way out.
Injuries / Malfunctions: Glitch blinded Ktty with his new headlamps? My bicep came loose and Scotty fixed it for me.
Public Incidents: Kids crying count: 5, Tie Pilot confused as Vader count: 12
Mission Status: Success!
A huge thank you to all the troopers who came up from the Gold Coast and Brisbane for this night. How awesome to have 11 members signed up! Ktty and Thumb doing double duty as wranglers and troopers is much appreciated, thanks guys.
Congratulations to Squeechirps and Bri_Cosplays_Sometimes on their first event. The Wonderland is quite the trial by fire for wranglers. Well done!
