Toowoomba Star Wars fan Funeral
Venue: Burstows Funerals Toowoomba
Time: 12pm - 3:30pm
Mission:
To provide an honour guard for a young Star Wars fan who was killed in a vehicle accident earlier this year.
Trooper Attendance:
RBG: CT:33827 "Bolt", TB:15148 "Tythephantom", TK:50180 "Donut", TS:15070 "RebelRach"
Wrangler: BH:22810 "Snips"
Details:
1200: Arrived and met up with the troopers from Brisbane.
1220: Began suiting up. We coordinated with the Burstows staff who were very helpful.
1300: Kitted up and ready to go. We headed over to the service area and took pictures with some of the Burstows staff.
1400: We waited an hour outside the doors for the service to finish. It was quite warm, but we were in the shade which was great. We watched the service on a TV screen mounted on the ceiling.
1415: Opened doors and the casket was brought out. We escorted it to the motorbike. We then escorted it to the road and saluted the procession as they left the venue.
1430: Procession did a drive past and we waved to them as they did burn-outs in their cars and bikes.
1445: Finished up with a few pictures then de-kitted.
Injuries / Malfunctions: A piece of hot rubber from one of the vehicles flew into Donut's armour, it was quite hot but he was okay.
Charitable Donations: $503 for Starlight Foundation donated on our behalf!
Mission Status: Success!
Big thanks to the troopers who came up from Brisbane to make this troop happen. It wasn't an easy troop, but we certainly did our best.
