Details:
This year the bulk of the fete activities were located on the school oval, and with bad weather forecast it was fingers crossed the rain would hold off. Luckily it did, and it turned out to be a great day. With the good weather the crowd numbers were good and stayed steady the whole day.
The school provided us a great change room and Dark Dora stocked it with food and drink to keep the troopers fuelled.
With our limited numbers we focussed on roving patrols. We mingled with the crowd and worked the lines. Getting photos with people in the queues for rides and food is great for keeping the family occupied while they're waiting.
The fete was everything you'd expect from a good primary school fete. Rides, games, stalls, a petting zoo and other activities to keep everyone entertained. A fire engine, and Paddy the Platypus from the SES.
Trooping kicked off when the fete opened 10am with a break for lunch we kept trooping until about 2.30pm when things started to wind up. The feedback from the public and the P&C was very positive and grateful.
