Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers 2012 troop Report

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who attended this as it was an awesome troop.

It was my first TCOF and I didn't really know what to expect, but it was certainly bigger & better than I thought it would be. The crowd was awesome, with the entire length of the course lined and a great friendly feel to the atmosphere. "Fast-Ed" showed the most enthusiasm I've ever seen (even from kids) in sprinting over to the assembled troopers for pictures, very cool.

Special mention to Agent Smith for his efforts in organizing everything so well, and to anarchy, beccyd & Cobra for their Wrangling and photo's.

It was great to catch up with some troopers that I haven't seen since DW2012 and meet some new people as well. The refreshments at the pub afterwards were also well received.

I haven't had the chance to troop for awhile and it worked out well to be able to troop Astro Pete's again on the way home. He always looks after us & I'm sure will be a great addition to the Garrison with his Clone.

Thanks gang, sign me up for next year.

Thanks Cam for organising this troop. It is always a troop I will attend. It is a highlight on the calendar. You did an awesome job mate. Now you just have to make next year better haha. I hope Hamish likes his helmet.

Another great troop guys I was impressed by the size of the crowd both lining the streets and at Queens Park at the end lots of people came along to see us . I had a great road trip up - thanks Shawn - and the lunch at the Federal also was a great wind down.

Some feedback from the crowd's point of view......

Maybe next time, could be have them stand in the back of a ute, or even somehow stand behind the buggy, so they can be seen? And maybe have them behind the 'walking' characters, so that everyone gets seen approaching, and it's like they are being escorted through the parade?

Was just thinking for next year would it be possible if we could ask the American convertable club to supply a car to drive the Emporer and Vader around. Also the parade now seems to have a party in the park afterwards and it took some of us about 30 mins to get away from the photo opps just wondering if we could arrange to have a stand photo booth in the park for afterwards to both to raise money and presence .

Would be good to have Vader and Emp and maybe a couple of guards on the back of a ute or similar.
I know that back in 2010, we had a tent in the park, where we rested after wards and we hung around the park for a while before heading back to the church.

Very cool, everyone I have shown the pictures to always comment on the Emperor so well done. Also I agree on the idea for a ute or similar for next year and also if we can have the march music playing would be cool.

This was a fantastic Troop. The crowd for the whole march/parade seemed limitless. And even at the end of the parade there were still people!

Thanks to all the organisers, this really was a great Troop.

The "Star Wars" and the "Stormtroopers" always seem to impress.

Favourite line during the march, directed at APOK from a wonderful Lady: "You need a wash!" <= That's right, Buddy, I heard her!
