A fellow Redback member has kindly allowed Terror Down Under Armouries access to his mold of the Shae Vizla pistol. This mold has amazing detail and so far the pulls have come out perfect. Only issue was my lack of mixing the pigment on the 2nd pistol which resulted in a build up of pigment in one area and created a marbling effect.
Below are the pics of the cast and also the gradual paint of the pistol.
1. look at that bad boy mold and the detail
2. First cast done
3. Undercoating in grey, metallic charcoal and then in the silver as the final coat.
4. Using acrylic paints to do the highlights in the grooves, on the revolver and on the magazine. Also adding the blue light effect instead of the use of LED's on this occasion. Also the grip is painted black.
Its an amazing pistol and only used just over 600ml of resin Will do another with the magazine removed and some variations as it will make a great custom Mando pistol.
